Chika Txt Messenger Welcome Screen
Chikka Messenger is the first two-way PC-to-mobile instant messaging client that allows you to send free texts directly to mobile phones around the world. Chikka Messenger supports up to 320-character SMS. Seamless connectivity lets you chat with them as easily as you would an IM buddy. Chikka is more than just text. You can send photos and images to your buddies, online or on mobile.
Chikka 4.03 also connects to Google Talk. Add your Google Talk contacts to your buddy list and chat away, even if you’re offline. Chatting shouldn’t chain you to your desktop. Chikka forwards messages to your mobile phone when you leave your PC.
Chikka Configuration Instructions for Text Messaging :
1. Run the Chikka SMS client.
2. Left-click the Chikka icon on the system tray on the lower right corner of your desktop/screen.
3. From the pop-up menu that appears, select Preferences.
4. The Preferences window will open. Make sure the the option Use HTTP always is NOT checked. Click the Ok button to close the Preferences window.
5. Left-click again on the Chikka system tray icon, then select Connection Options.
6. The Server Configuration window will open. Make your settings as follows:
- Server IP: ctp-a.chikka.com Server Port: 443
- Clear Auto Configure Connection
- Check Use Proxy Server
- Proxy Host: proxy.admu.edu.ph Port: 3128
- Protocol: HTTPS
- Check Authentication
- Enter anything for Username: and Password: (e.g. Username: “abc”; Password: “123″)
7. Click the Update button to save options and close the current window. You will be returned to the Login window.
8. Login normally.
