Pidgin is a multi-protocol instant messenger client for AIM (Oscar and TOC protocols), Yahoo, ICQ, MSN Messenger, Gadu-Gadu, IRC, Jabber and Zephyr networks.
Pidgin users can log in multiple accounts on multiple Instant Messaging networks simultaneously. You can communicate or chatting with your friends on AOL Instant Messenger, talk to your friends on Yahoo Messenger, and sitting in an IRC channel all at the same time together.
The latest Pidgin releases have built a successful string that has been interrupted by the “taskbar flash” bug.
Taskbar Flash Fix : After upgrading to 2.7.00, IM and chat windows will no longer flash when new messages are received. The problem can be easily solved by replacing old pidgin.dll file (found in Pidgin’s instalation folder) with this one. More info on issue and fix can be found here.
